Getting Started + Q&A

INTRODUCTION & Q&A
Hello everyone and welcome to The REDO Project. I’m sure you have a lot of questions regarding what The REDO Project is and all that, so I devised a quick little Q&A section to start this week's blog. The REDO Project has only been around for less than a week so far and started on January 22nd of 2023. As I’m writing this blog, there are still many unclear aspects of the project, but I have a decent understanding of where I want to take the project. Due to this some things in this Q&A may change in the future, but certainly not all of them. So without further ado, let’s get straight into this week's Q&A and article.
Q&A
Q1: What is The REDO Project?
The REDO Project simply put is my way of trying to become successful (despite failing multiple times prior) and so I thought I’d post my thoughts and experiences online so others could learn from me and then perform their own REDO Project. Think of The REDO Project as a course, and I as the creator am testing this course for the first time. The only difference between my test and an average test is that I also get to show my audience the test stage. And in all honesty, this very first “test” is the entire essence of The REDO Project, and it’s going to allow others to follow me on my path to success in the future. I’m trying to create something bigger than some “course”, and I’m trying to be something bigger than some “YouTube guru”. Basically, I want to start a movement. I hope I can show you guys the way to success despite not even being successful yet. Let’s become successful together, through The REDO Project.
Q2: Why did you start The REDO Project
As I am writing this blog post, I am nowhere near being a “successful” individual, and I am painstakingly aware of that. I understand that I need to put in more to get out more, and that time doesn’t wait for anyone. So I want to start becoming a successful person today by creating a steady income online from home so I can spend more time doing the things I love, and maybe one day I’ll have enough time to work on music every day and become a professional musician! That's the ultimate goal. Originally, The REDO Project was just a way to organize my thoughts so I can become a better (and healthier) student, and start a simple online business before going to college so I could quit my boring part-time job in retail. Originally, this was my plan to obtain success. I wanted to do it all on my own. That’s till I started meeting people in the affiliate marketing and dropshipping business, and it gave me the courage and motivation to go bigger than the original plan. I decided I would also start a blog and youtube channel (and hopefully one day a podcast!) so I could share my road to success and hopefully encourage others to either join a community or start acting on their goals. Because I know better than to keep my success to myself.
Q3: Who are you?
Good question you should have asked sooner (just kidding). My name is Kheltin Walters-Mackie and I am currently a high school student in my senior year. I was practically raised as an entrepreneur as my family is heavily business based with high values. I studied social media and retail throughout high school (and I’ve also made many businesses that are now considered “failures”). However, it has always been my dream to be a musician, and I have been making music since my Freshman year of high school. I even plan to go to school for music production. My favorite color is light blue and I love a good plate of wings.
My Journey So Far…
My journey in The REDO Project has been a short one. However, I’ve been working on self-improvement and my skills for quite some time now. My biggest problem stems from the fact that it’s hard for me to stay consistent. I hope that the people I meet while doing The REDO Project will have my back in that regard. But for now, it’s just me, and going to be that way for a little longer.
Dropshipping & Affiliate Marketing
I started learning about drop shipping just as anyone else would: through YouTube. I found a YouTuber named Sebastian Esqueda and I watch a long video that helped me get a better understanding of what I was getting myself into. This video wasn’t the most detailed, so I went off to find something new that I could use. Before long, I stumbled upon Sebastian's free course and ended up signing up.
The only requirement for entering the course is that you must make a Shopify store using their link. That’s how they get paid but it’s also how newcomers like me can get started for cheap so it makes perfect sense. Once I did that I had full access to the course and was ready to work. I only watched the first 7 modules (and they were all short) so I didn’t learn anything about Shopify or drop shipping, but I did learn about the mindset you need to have to make it in the drop shipping business. After watching those first 7 modules, I stopped cause I didn’t want to overload my brain with information. Not to mention I had other stuff I had to get done like starting on the affiliate marketing side of things.
I decided to do affiliate marketing once two things happened. 1. I fully decided for content creation to be a part of my business model. 2. I met somebody who works as an affiliate marketer. Originally I only wanted to do drop shipping, but I figured I could do a little affiliate marketing on the side as well since I was going to make content anyways and now that I have a mentor backing me it’s almost a no-brainer. I have a meeting with my mentor very soon, and we plan to go over how I can make money working with them as an affiliate marketer. I’m also doing my research into affiliate marketing and using my affiliate links as well.

Online Presence & Content
Chances are if you read this, you found my article online somehow. I just want to let you know that you don’t see this article by coincidence because it was marketed toward you. Whether you follow me on social media or it randomly came up on your feed, the internet uses a specific algorithm that markets towards specific people.
For example, I am using specific tags and keywords to market to people who are looking into something specific (like starting a business). I’ll do the same thing for my YouTube video as well. It simply drives the most traffic to my content so why shouldn’t I? Marketing is something I study all the time so I didn’t really have to look into it much when starting The REDO Project, but if you are starting your own business, knowing how to market is essential.
Like I said earlier you are here with me on a journey to creating The REDO Project. So I also have to let you know how I’m planning on growing it besides simple marketing but here is the gist of what I did:
1. I created an Instagram and Twitter account (later on I’ll make a Facebook account). I’ll use these accounts to promote The REDO Project announcements.
2. I created a YouTube and Blogger account to post blogs and videos, and marketed my videos and blogs through social media and SEO/Keywords.
Obviously, you are currently reading the first part of my journey, so I haven’t actually uploaded or marketed anything at the time of writing this. I will have to let you all know my experiences and how I did in the next part of my journey. But for now, this is how I plan on growing The REDO Project online.
Other
Some extra stuff I did was create a link tree for myself, created a spreadsheet so I can hold important information, and lastly, I started learning about self-development and I’ve started waking up earlier and exercising more.
I created a link tree (or a “solo” I should say) to promote my own social media and my music too. The whole point of The REDO Project is to eventually reach your actual dream, so I would really like to get my name out there and this is a good way to do that. (https://solo.to/k10)
The spreadsheet was so I could keep track of my important contacts and also organize the affiliate links I will be using since all affiliate links are reusable. It’s important to keep notes about your contacts and affiliate links though just in case cause it can save you some trouble later on.
Lastly, before I even started The REDO Project, I read a book called Miracle Morning that helped me gain my footing in terms of an actually healthy and successful morning routine. This book also helped me get into the habit of exercising so I highly recommend it.
Summary:
I will be using The REDO Project to become a healthy and wealthy person, and I will be bringing you along in my journey to becoming a successful business owner and musician (which is my actual goal)
The REDO Project is not just some blog/vlog that is meant to be motivational. It’s meant to also be educational and it will eventually be followed along with a training program so you can do The REDO Project yourself
The REDO Project teaches you how to become a successful business owner, by showing you how I am doing it in real time.
The REDO Project teaches people how to become successful business owners/content creators, so that way they can live the life that they want via our online educational blog/vlogs or through our training which will be available once I’ve proven this method works.
-Sincerely, Kheltin
